hi I am Shukyee from the Bay Area, an NFT IP owner who graduated from UC Berkeley in 2018.(You can call me Suki or SUSU) I started my first startup when I was in my senior year and it was funded by one of UCB angel funds. DAC(Decentralized Autonomous Corporation) for every single IP community and its corresponding Fan Token are the most important features that we will provide in Overeality Metaverse. Every fan token holder is actually the shareholder of the DAC for the IP, who enjoys benefits in the form of dividends out of the profits the IP DACs make through sales of NFTs, other consumer products and different exclusive online or in-person events. The fans can become direct marketing salespeople for the idol’s NFT to make money, essentially a DAC(Decentralized Autonomous Corporation), imagine 50000 salespeople for James Rodriguez all trying to sell NFTs for him. As for the governance in overelity, it is always a DAO-driven process. For example, the NFT creation is voted on by the community before the NFT goes to auction, marketplace, or NFT museum.

You say that Overeality is going to be using Fractional NFTs to give everyone an easy path to participating in their favorite creator / celebrity led communities. The project is aiming to give everyone the BEST way to interact with their idols in an authentic, long lasting, and mutually beneficial manner. Users can own a small fraction of an NFT which gives them the right to join and take part in that community. Could you explain who does the process of acquiring a fraction of NFT take place? Does it mean that all NFTs are divided by X fractions by default? Should the users bid to buy 1 fraction or it has a fixed price?

The fractional NFT is one of our long-term goals for the fan economy. With those super famous celebrities joining us, it is natural that there will be NFTs with very high values, which might not be accessible or affordable by everyone. However, we want every fan to be able to collect part of the celebrity NFTs. That’s why we are going to do fractional NFTs, which will be highly related to our fan tokens. It doesn’t mean all NFTs are divided by fractions, just some high-price NFTs that are fractionalized decided by the DAO for better accessibilities.

We have a very strong team working on different parts of the project, including a super strong IP team that has many connections with celebrities. The reason those celebrities are joining is that we are building the fan economy in the Metaverse that is curated and accessible for everyone. In our Metaverse, celebrities will be able to truly interact and live with their fans, supported by all the web3.0 technologies that we provide in Overeality Metaverse.

It came to my attention that Overeality’s core technology is based on an EVM-compliant layer 1 model, custom-designed for the future of fanatical economies. But, we know that ETH has immense network issues that prevent adoption in many cases. With this layer 1 technology, how does Overeality manage to avoid high gas costs and network congestion from interfering with protocols and operations? Do you plan to adopt other technologies in the future? Thank you!

We are EVM compatible but we are a separate layer-1 chain from Ethereum, which is customized and optimized for low gas fees. However, admittedly Ethereum is now the largest and most successful ecosystem for NFTs, which is why we choose to build EVM compatibility into our chain. In the future, we plan to adopt cross-chain bridge technologies for NFTs and tokens so that we could better interact with other ecosystems. We hope to cooperate instead of competing with other blockchains in the future metaverse.

With every project, there is always a clamour for improved security and user privacy, and this aspect has proven to be a major strong-put of Overeality. However, from recent community feedback, it was discovered that there had been issues with waitlist Bugs and numerous bug reports were subsequently submitted by the community. Taking this into consideration and examining the general security features of Overeality can you briefly explain the issue as identified, and how was this managed? As a way to better improve security while also, getting the community fully involved, do you have bug bounty programs or reward schemes available to users, and how do you handle critical issues of user privacy, how secured are user information on your platform?

Since Overeality Chain is a layer-one EVM-compatible blockchain, the risk of the underlying consensus layer is fairly controllable. The realization of our PoS consensus mechanism utilizes the Tendermint consensus framework, which has been relentlessly tested by various blockchains.
As for the application level of our chain, most of our smart contracts were migrated from existing contracts in the community. For instance: ERC20, ERC721, and ERC1559. The level of security of those contracts is unquestionable. A very small portion of our smart contracts will be customized and they will be audited by a formal security company before being deployed to our chain.

The recent bugs are more of a front-end & back-end issue for the server we are using for signup events as there were over 30,000 users registered within a few hours, which caused an unexpected heavy burden for the server. Our Engineering team has worked on it overnight and was able to resolve the issue.
We do have a program of bug-reporting bounties where everyone will be able to submit tickets when they find bugs on our products. The tech support team will get back individually. After the bug is successfully located and validated, users who submitted the tickets will get rewards in return.

Overeality is built on a dual-token system with Overeality token OR and Overeality gas token OFuel. OR is the governance token, which is used in core functionalities such as DAO decisions. OFuel is the operational token, which is used to promote liquid transactions.
The IP tokens are designed to represent ownership of the IP. IP token holders enjoy benefits out of NFT sales under the IP topic. Besides, IP Token is priced according to a predetermined binding curve and can be purchased out of smart contracts.
We have a healthy and organic ecosystem for the token price to grow based on the dual token system and the IP collateral mechanism.

So we are targeting at different tiers of IPs. James Rodriguez is Tier 1 IP, Tier 2 IP will be influencers, and ordinary people will be Tier 3. But we are building a platform for everyone to join as the IP owner and fan token creator. Tier 3 IPs will join when we have a huge fan base, which we gain traffic from Tier 1&2 IPs. Tier 3 IPs will definitely benefit from it the most just by signing up free! As the content creator, you can always publish your work in your favourite community. But if you want to sign up to be the IP owner and the Fan Token creator, you will have to go through a series of verification, which follows the IP laws in the United States.
