You are creating an NFT search Engine and you describe it as the first Web 3.0 NFT search Engine that can allow users to search and verify the history of NFTs, thereby preventing fraud. How does this search engine monitor NFTs and is able to have updated records of its history? Will such searches and validation be limited to the NFTs available to your CaptureClub Marketplace alone or can this Engine be used to detect various NFTs, on multiple chains, outside your protocol?

That’s a good question!

NFT Search Engine as a content-based Search Engine, users can upload a file without knowing its token address or token ID, and retrieve asset history and other details associated with the NFT file

Currently, NFT search engine supports 8 major marketplaces (yes, not only CaptureClub, but also OpenSea, , Foundation, Rarible, SuperRare, Refinable… etc), 3 blockchain networks, almost 40M assets, and 20K+ smart contracts with data coverage increasing daily

Asset Monitor service monitors the newly generated assets on Blockchain Network and sends emails of potential theft if discovered. The assets monitored are those kept in the metadata extension and registered on-chain. For example, images of ERC721 and ERC1155 tokens and their standard thumbnail appearing on OpenSea will be monitored once the parent contract is registered.

Asset Scan scans through the NFT space to find existing items with potential copyright violations.

Asset Verify includes both similar image scans and community reports to verify assets. Similar-image scan utilizes computer vision to look for similar items in the network. A community report is a verification that leverages the community to flag suspicious items. A core tenant of decentralization is a community and the desire to invest time and effort to keep their ecosystem clean

These services not only help NFT marketplaces create a cleaner trading environment but may also help creators feel safer to share and license their work in the digital world

We’ve launched IG influencer program before to encourage more photographer users to join Capture’s authentic world, it’s only for photographer influencers, but we also released our Ambassador program on Jan for every community members to join

Can you give more information about the functions of this Numbers Protocol IPFS Gateway? What is the significance of this and why did you consider the Numbers Protocol IPFS Gateway necessary for the Numbers Protocol ecosystem?

Interplanetary File System (IPFS) is as the official documentation states “a distributed system for storing and accessing files, applications, data, and websites.”

In simpler terms IPFS is the data storage system for Web3.0. This is important because it means that data does not reside in any one location and can remain accessible and censorship-proof even in the face of server shutdowns.

Another important aspect of IPFS is the content addressing. Instead of accessing data based on a location-based address (URL), IPFS data is accessed based on the content itself. This is done by generating a unique content id (CID)

For NFT, decentralized storage is especially important because the last thing you want is to purchase a NFT and be unable to access it due to a server shutdown or failure. Pinning digital asset files onto IPFS can ensure its permanence and accessibility

As a photo network for Web3.0, IPFS storage and indexing are key features of Numbers photo network. All digital media created with our various tools (Capture APP & CaptureClub Creator Gallery) are pinned to IPFS for accessibility and index with unique CIDs. In an effort to expand our network, we have also taken it upon ourselves to index and pin existing NFTs on various marketplaces as a part of our goal to achieve full coverage for NFT Search Engine

Hello, the Numbers Protocol team.

Studying your project, I realized that one of the usecases of the native $NUM token is the opportunity to buy a photo on Captureclub. For the sake of interest, I went to this marketplace. In my subjective opinion, at the moment, no more than 10-15% of photos have at least some artistic value. The rest are uploaded there either for testing the site, or just for fun. I doubt that most of these works will ever be bought. Although we all know the story of the Sultan from Indonesia, who sold his selfies on a well-known site, but this is more an exception that confirms the rule. How do you plan to add value to this issue? Maybe you are working on some kind of concept for the evaluation of artistry, or maybe a different ranking of photos? What should ultimately motivate people to buy these photos?

Like most NFTs on the market, the worth of the NFT will be determined by the creator when it’s published on the marketplace. Users who use CaptureApp to take photos can easily publish it on CaptureClub marketplace with one click

CaptureClub is a digital media platform that adheres to C2PA standards and leverages the latest blockchain technology to preserve the authenticity of digital assets.

By doing so, CaptureClub brings value back to digital assets previously lost by rampant infringement and empowers creators with a safe authentic media ecosystem where they can operate independent from third parties and monetize on their creations

At the very beginning of Instagram, we didn’t see good photos either. But now we see many people and tons of influencers using it as a tool to showcase their great art works and life pieces.

CaptureApp with CaptureClub in web3 is similar to Instagram with Shutterstock in web 2. We absolutely want to bring more quality NFTs on CaptureClub but we don’t want to exclude people. Web3 shouldn’t be just exclusively for nft creators, but everyone

Will Numbers Protocol have royalties or license fees? Can you tell us about Numbers Protocol’s system, there are so many creative people on the internet at bypassing systems so is Numbers Protocol system bypassable? What does Numbers Protocol do for the traceability and verifiability of an asset?

The Numbers photo network will leverage the existing “capture & share” construct established by social media platforms as its main contribution mechanism. As an authentic media network, the network will prioritize accepting content with high integrity. High integrity content refers to digital media that are unique (Content Identifier not previously registered), have immutable blockchain record, and have content provenance

To contribute a Capture to the network, users can utilize a network tool such as Capture APP, to record a photo or video. Users can subsequently register the photo or video into the network to earn an amount of NUM token. That’s we called #CapturetoEarn

Creating photos with good integrity with Capture APP does not equate to being trustworthy content. It is still possible to register a photo to the network with high integrity (containing context, content provenance, digital signature) but still have misleading captions and descriptions. We know from past experiences that any misleading information can cause damage to trust and fact checking and verification afterwards is already too late

To ensure that content in the Numbers network is trustworthy, all registered photos and videos will undergo verification carried out by the community. To verify assets in the Numbers network, participants will be asked to check the “contents” of the Capture and cross check them with any asset descriptions and captions. Unlike with normal digital assets, verification can be done easily because of Capture’s multi-layered container design, associated certificate of authenticity and Numbers network tools such as NFT Search Engine

All assets in the Numbers Protocol network verified by the community falls under the category of social trust. Social trust refers to the majority sentiment. If the majority of the community seems a photo trustworthy then it is trustworthy. To reflect social trust, the Numbers network will assign each individual asset a “Trust Score” which fluctuates depending on the communities verification feedback. Confirmations will result in an increase in “Trust Score” while flags will result in a score decrease. All trust scores will be made transparent to prospective users and clients of the network. #VerifytoEarn is another approach to be part of the community and earn through it

We start the project on May 2019, so the project is almost 3 years old, $NUM token’s initial listing was on 18th Nov 2021, so $NUM is a 3-month old token.

Why we name it “Numbers”?

The basic form of data in software is a number, 0 or 1.

We believe in the power of community, so we call the project Numbers.

In Numbers, everyone is just like a single number. A single number may mean nothing yet, but together, we are numbers, powerful and can make changes

NUM is the native protocol token for the Numbers Protocol Decentralized Photo Network. As a utility token, NUM holders can utilize the token to pay for services within the network.

These services, which we refer to as Network Actions, include asset registration, listing onto network marketplaces, and storage onto more robust forms of decentralized storage. As the Numbers ecosystem develops, the number of Network Actions will increase and stretch into other areas such as social media, news, gaming, and entertainment.
