Let’s start with this one. I will explain it now. Exactly right now, we are in a final stage of development to start our token swap from old DSCP tokens into new DSCPL tokens.
The functionality of the new one will be much wider, including DeFi and farming features.
Disciplina protocol employs Cardano-based technologies. Nowadays, many other great decentralized technologies and protocols have been widely accepted. Not to be limited by the parent technologies, we have to improve the protocol to be able to build the gateways to all the common blockchains such as BSC and others. The possibility of using the token inside the protocol will remain.
Academic institutions, tutors, students, and recruiters will interact with each other on the Disciplina platform through applications that contain educational, recruiting, and other interfaces. Dscp tokens are required to get access to Disciplina protocol. That’s how it will work.

Thank you! That is a very good question. I get it rather often. I need to explain. Disciplina is not a service or application. Disciplina is a technology or platform with open api. We are a blockchain for LinkedIn, teachmeplease, and all other educational or recruiting platforms, services, and applications.

We are open to project of any size and success. Disciplina will store confidential information, such as the courses, students’ tasks, grades, and test results. Therefore, public blockchain solutions, which store all of their transactions in open access. At the same time, private blockchain solutions, such as hyperledger, do not provide enough verifiability of the data stored on them.

How can a company executive be sure that an examination (term paper) got into the blockchain in good faith? Or the assessment of a job applicant’s intelligence is done correctly? First of all, we are developing Disciplina for the future, not for the past. I think that there will be no paper exams in the nearest future.
I believe that already in few years, most of the exams and educational activities will be held with some type of software known as lms (learning management system).
In this case, we need to build trust in the software and the educational information.

To protect the system from fictitious educational institutions, Disciplina has an inbuilt web of trust, analogous to PGP, in its protocol. Each user will be able to choose the system participants they trust. The level of trust in the other system members will be calculated individually for each user. Our network thus has no “verification centers”, which have an unlimited right to register or refuse the registration of an educational institution.
Our web of trust will allow recruiters to know which educational institutions are worth cooperating with and which are not. The value of the grade given to the student will depend on the rating of the educational institution at the time the grade was awarded.

It was very interesting to look at the team – compatriots with such great experience. So, a significant part of the team is the former key developers of cardano. If i’m not mistaken, cardano is a multi-tier proof-of-stake blockchain platform for building decentralized applications based on smart contracts? How did the acquired experience in this direction help your team in creating disciplina?

Yes, most of our blockchain code was written by the same guys who made the first version of Cardano years ago. They are super talented and experienced. Their previous experience and unique expertise helped us a lot!

Right now we all work remotely. And I have moved or office from Saint-Petersburg to Tallinn, Estonia.

Disciplina uses “witnesses” to check the validity of transactions in the public chain, this is achieved by using a consensus algorithm based on proof-of-stake (pos) technology, which provides the high speed and low price of the transaction. How are these witnesses selected, what specific criteria would one possess to be eligible to carry out these functions, and apart from rewarding the witnesses with commission-based fees from transactions made, what additional incentives do these witnesses tend to enjoy for providing a transparent and efficient service on the chain?
Ilya [mr.teachmeplease] nikiforov:
There are no special requirements right now. They just need to stake our tokens.
As in other cryptocurrencies, the witnesses will be rewarded for the launch of each block with commission fees from transactions made in that block. The probability that the witness will become the block-leader is proportional to the number of tokens on his account.

Is there a minimum token amount required? Btw, what will be the main benefits for holders?

Disciplina is designed so that witnesses will have no access to personal and private data inside the blockchain.
The Disciplina architecture stores the data on student academic achievement on the private chains of educational institutions.
We do not have any exact amount for that yet. We will understand it after the first tests. The main benefit is to get new tokens for staking DSCPL.

I want to know, on which blockchain is Disciplina based? Eth? If not eth, can you tell us the blockchain it is based on, why you are using it and why is the best option for the project?

Ok. Let me explain. We are using erc20 (eth) tokens right now only for fundraising purposes. All users will have to swap all erc20 tokens into our native blockchain token after launch. I think it is rather a simple to answer to this question.

We are using DSCP for our first version token. DSCPL will be the ticker for our v.2 token.

User personal data is stored on the private chains of the educational institutions. The public part of the network has only hashes of this data. Thus, private data remains reliable and safe at the same time.
