Introduction of Deeper Network project.

Mary | satoshi club:

Hello, satoshi club! We are happy to announce our ama session with deeper! Welcome to satoshi club😀

D| satoshi club:

Our guests today – @chaosma and @ericma888! Hello guys, how are you doing? Weclome to satoshi club!

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Hey guys! I’m doing great!

Chao:

Hey, Greetings! This Chao from Deeper network

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Great to be here!

Mary | satoshi club:

Welcome once again!🎉 let’s start our journey to the world of deeper 🚀

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Let’s dig deeper!

Mary | satoshi club:

Guys, please introduce yourself and tell us more about deeper 😉

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Sure, I’ll start. My name is eric ma and I’m the CMO of Deeper network. I used to be a core member at Coinmarketcap. I also have experience at exchanges.

Mary | satoshi club:

Wow, I am speechless 😂 that famous Coinmarketcap😉

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Not here today are our CEO Russell and co-founder Cheryl. Russell used to head up r&d at Intel and Pzalo alto networks, which is one of the leaders in the cybersecurity industry. He started deeper network in 2018. And has built it to where it is today. Our headquarters is in silicon valley, Santa Clara ca.

Mary | satoshi club:

Three years! Long way!

D| satoshi club:

In the middle of the bear market 😉

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Cheryl, our co-founder, was CEO of her blockchain consulting company.

Mary | satoshi club:

Yes, but it’s a nice time for development

Eric ma (will never pm you):

She helped projects like QTUM and Tron start and build to where they are today from the consultant side.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

And we have our CTO, Chao: who is here with us today. I’ll let him introduce himself 🙂

Chao:

Hey, I am CTO of Deeper network. I became interested in blockchain around 2014 because of DEthereum. I used to work in harmony as a protocol architect and core developer.  Last year, I joined Deeper network working on our blockchain.

Mary | satoshi club:

The deeper team gathered the best of the best😃

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Thanks, Mary.

Chao:

We have joined the builder’s program and web3.0 grant in Polkadot and become part of their ecosystem

| satoshi club:

Nice! This is awesome!

Eric ma (will never pm you):

We’re all super passionate about protecting people of the world from censorship, protecting their privacy and creating a fairer internet for all.

Mary | satoshi club:

I see👍

Chao:

Our test net is passed an internal test with about 1000 devices and going to be launch soon. Cheers

Mary | satoshi club:

So, what important changes will bring deeper to our world?

Eric ma (will never pm you):

We are trying to make the world more secure, private and more fair from the internet point of view. Fairer I should say. We have 5 generations of hardware, called the deeper connect.

Mary | satoshi club:

It’s a great mission 🚀

Eric ma (will never pm you):

This hardware offers lifetime DPN (decentralized VPN). Also, offer enterprise-class cybersecurity. DPR token mining. As well as the gateway to web 3.0. We want every household to have one in their house to protect them. Currently, we have over 10,000 units sold around the world which means 10,000+ decentralized nodes running!

Mary | satoshi club:

Wow! You’re moving fast🔥

Eric ma (will never pm you):

By the end of the year, we’re projecting over 100,000+ nodes as we ramp up production and distribution. And in 2-3 years, millions of nodes around the world.

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/world-s-1st-decentralized-VPN-firewall-for-life#/

This is our best-selling deeper connect mini. We broke records on IndieGoGo and the best blockchain product to ever hit IndieGoGo. Anything you’d like to add @chaosma?

Chao:

For the hardware and product part, you mentioned it already. For the future vision, when our main net is launched, we will make deeper connect as the gateway or DAPP store for our users.

Mary | satoshi club:

Thank you, guys! A lot of info!

Chao:

The users can easily access DAPPs from not only our chain but also other projects in Polkadots

Eric ma (will never pm you):

https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/cryptocurrency-news/finance-and-funding/deeper-network-raises-1m-in-fundraising-campaign/

Mary | satoshi club:

Congratulations 👏 it’s an important to step for your project!

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Thank you. Done

Mary | satoshi club:

I can add ‘wow’ after your every message 😉 but let’s dive deeper into the deeper!

D| satoshi club:

Thank you for the amazing intro! We will continue with the questions from our community if you are ready?

Mary | satoshi club:

We choose some questions from our users for the first part!

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Sounds good

Preselected questions about the Deeper Network DeFi project.

D| satoshi club:

Q1 from telegram user @dudeiebitch

Hey, your public sale was conducted on more than 3 platforms with different dates and timeframe, I want to know why you did so i.e conducting the sale on three different platforms and what is your soft cap and hard cap with the percentage reached on the token sale.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

www.deeper.network

Great question. So, we want the world to know about our product. The strategy behind multiple IDO platforms was for 2 reasons. First, we wanted more opportunities for people of different communities around the world to be able to purchase $ DPR. Secondly, from a marketing perspective, we get triple the exposure and support. If you’re interested in our token metrics, check out this link on our website and scroll down:

https://deeper.network/publicsalelanding

Hardcap is at 10 billion DPR

Mary | satoshi club:

It shows your respect and cares for users, very hard to buy on IDO now.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Mind you… 60% of that is reserved for mining! Which you can do simply with the hardware device, deeper connect.

Mary | satoshi club:

A lot!

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Yes, we listen to our community and thus made this decision. Yes, mining over 50 years’ time. Thanks for that question. And congrats $100!

Mary | satoshi club:

Long time, everyone has a chance 😉

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Yes, fair mining through proof of credit algo. Contribute unused bandwidth to deeper network, gain DPR.

Mary | satoshi club:

Btw, we have the next question about proof of credit😉

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Cool

D| satoshi club:

Indeed. Are you ready to hear the next question? 😉

Eric ma (will never pm you):

We are. Are you going to read it to us?

D| satoshi club:

Q2 from telegram user @lukacy

From your whitepaper, I got to know that your network is based on a proof of credit (poc) consensus mechanism. I know of pow(proof of work) and pos(proof of stake). Why did you choose  PoC with low popularity? How will this protocol maximize the purpose of Deeper network project? Will it better enhance security? I need clarity about that. Thanks.

Chao:

Good question! Let me answer it

Mary | satoshi club:

Nice plan! Sure, this will work!

Mary | satoshi club:

Take your time 😀

Chao:

PoC is designed specifically for our system. Basically speaking, our system has two layers. The top layer consists of hundreds of validator nodes, i.e. Layer1. The bottom layer, i.e. Layer 2 consists of (potentially) millions of light nodes (i.e. Deeper connect devices)

When two devices (in the bottom layer) connects to each other, one device(server) will share bandwidth with the other (client), in this case, the client will pay for the data using what we called micropayment.

Mary | satoshi club:

How does your system work depends on the number of l2 users?

D| satoshi club:

And what about layer3? Is it possible that you will create another one?

Chao:

When the server claims the micropayment online which is proof of data usage, the blockchain will increase its “credit score” according to our protocol. So, the device account can delegate its credit scores to validators to join the consensus. In this point of view, PoC is very similar to pos, instead of staking your tokens, you stake your credit scores

Chao:

And  PoC is more fair in the sense that for the rich who has a lot of tokens, his/her voting power is much more than the average people, but PoC, it takes time to earn your credit and every account’s credit is capped by 800.

The more devices in l2, the more secure of l1, because they join consensus through credit staking (i.e. Poc. I would be imaging when there are millions of nodes in the l2 network, the majority of voting power is the PoC portion.

Mary | satoshi club:

But is it possible that a person can create several accounts? And the power he will have still will be high?

Chao:

Actually, in our system, it’s a mix of PoC and pos. You can either stake your tokens or stake your credit score

Mary | satoshi club:

Wise system 😀

Chao:

Good question. Actually, in our design, to avoid Sibil attack, we will use the distributed random number generated by blockchain to randomly pair devices for each epoch/era. In this case, the probability of malicious devices matching is very low. We also require each device has to deposit an initial amount of token when register on the blockchain.

D| satoshi club:

Sibil attack?

Eric ma (will never pm you):

We’re going deep guys.

Chao:

Also, in each epoch, if you only received micropayment from one account, the system would not increase your credit score. You at least need to receive payments. More than one account. This further reduces the probability. Sibil attack, yes, it’s a typo.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Sybil attack is a type of attack seen in peer-to-peer networks in which a node in the network operates multiple identities actively at the same time and undermines the authority/power in reputation systems.

D| satoshi club:

Thank you for the clarification!  👍

Chao:

Okay, it’s not typo, haha

D| satoshi club:

Haha, 😄Thank you for the detailed answers guys! Ready for the next question?

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Good thing nobody typed Sybil attack. There’s no excuse for that. Yes, we are.

D| satoshi club:

Q3 from telegram user @nataliyakil

You offer your equipment for mining DPR tokens: family, lite, mini, nano, and pico. Can you give a small description of each product and recommendations for their use? Are they available for sale and how is the whole process of buying and shipping equipment going?

Eric ma (will never pm you):

I think both Chao and I can answer this. I’ll start.

Mary | satoshi club:

Very interesting question 😉

Eric ma (will never pm you):

So yes, as I mentioned earlier, we have 5 generations of working product currently and a 6th on the way! That’s rare in the blockchain space. We’ve partnered with partners like best buy and amazon, stack social, Newegg, IndieGoGo, for instance as retail distributors for us.

We also have 2 distribution warehouses around the world Hong Kong and USA. We are currently selling the deeper connect mini and nano!

Mary | satoshi club:

How profitable is it to buy your equipment from an economic point of view?

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Depends on how much you value your privacy, hate censorship, and your freedom to access information. Like I mentioned earlier, demand for our product currently much higher than supply. We are trying our best to keep up.

But users who receive our product are ecstatic and posting random reviews on youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5jnrgyuoms&t=160s

Here’s one recent one from a man in England who purchased his. Not the best video quality but he gets his point across.

Mary | satoshi club:

We will watch it! It’s definitely what we want to see👍

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Please know, this is not a sponsored video from us!

You can buy the mini here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/world-s-1st-decentralized-VPN-firewall-for-life#/

Mary | satoshi club:

And such videos are really important 😊

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Here’s a link to buy our nano: https://stacksocial.com/sales/deeper-connect-nano-world-s-1st-decentralized-VPN-firewall-for-life.

There is currently a discount on them for early purchase.

Chao, would you like to add anything?

Mary | satoshi club:

Are there any countries in the world where your equipment isn’t available for purchase?

Chao:

Not for this question, ha-ha.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Purchase now so that when we launch our main net in q3, mining will start.

Chao:

Actually, our test net is going to launch soon, if you purchase now, you can try the test net, the tokens you have mined will be converted to main net tokens when the main net launched

Eric ma (will never pm you):

If you’re into mining, the mini is slightly more efficient on that because of its bigger aluminum casing surface space for cooling and specs.

Chao:

The conversion rate is to be determined though

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Bonus!

Chao:

Yeah, it’s a bonus. Also, encourage users to beta test our blockchain

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Sweet, I’m going to do that after this ama. Lol

Mary | satoshi club:

Satoshiclubbers! How do rate your privacy? 😉

Eric ma (will never pm you):

DPR will get directly deposited into the device wallet.

Mary | satoshi club:

It’s easy and comfortable 👍

Eric ma (will never pm you):

We designed the device to be easily used by the general public from every perspective. The device is plug and play, with zero configuration. The user interface is full of graphics and easy to use. From parental control to mining of tokens. Nobody has to have a degree in blockchain to know how to use it. Your grandma can use it with ease.

Mary | satoshi club:

That’s true😂

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Done

Mary | satoshi club:

Ahaha, you even care about our grandmas😉

Eric ma (will never pm you):

We do. Grandmas are the best.

D| satoshi club:

This is the main point 👍

Eric ma (will never pm you):

The deeper network loves grandmas!

Mary | satoshi club:

Thank you! Your answers are very detailed! Everything is clear for me😀

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Thank you

Mary | satoshi club:

Ready to proceed?😀

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Ready

D| satoshi club:

Q4 from telegram user @meml97

One of the key use cases of the deeper network is to provide users with network anonymity thanks to its DPN, but can you tell us more about the system the provides this anonymity and how stable is this DPN? We can see often interruptions on VPNs that at some point cut out this anonymity provided. Will this happen on Deeper’s system as well? How will you prevent this from happening and provide a 100% stable service?

Eric ma (will never pm you):

I’ll let Chao start this one

Chao:

Sure

The DPN stands for decentralized VPN. For VPN, you need a remote server (let’s call it a relayer) to host the service, when you access some website, the relayer will send your encrypted packets to the website and send the response back to you.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Chao:

If the server is down or block, your VPN is not working

Mary | satoshi club:

So, I will never lose connection with DPN?

Chao:

I would not say 100% now, there might be software bugs or other issues when the DPN is not stable, but we continue improving it.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Chao:

For DPN, each device acts as a server as well as the client. So if one remote device is down, you can always choose another one. We will keep a list of servers to choose from. I.e. The more devices the harder the service is down

Mary | satoshi club:

I like this, seems very easy to use and useful 😀

D| satoshi club:

I like this device; it would be good looking on my desk.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Mary | satoshi club:

First on mine😂😂😂

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Lol, yes, we took care of the design of it too. It’s not plastic. It’s a heavyweight aluminum casing.

D| satoshi club:

Wow niiice.

Chao:

Yeah, it’s kind of stylish. My part is done @ericma888  do you have anything to add?

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Let me see.

Mary | satoshi club:

Thanks, guys! If you want to add something you can add it, or we can go to the next question 😉

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Did you talk about deeper’s users the ability to purchase cloud firewalls? For blocking ips on other nodes. Well, it can do this too. We can go to the next question. Looks like Chao want to add something?

D| satoshi club:

He’s typing 👀

Mary | satoshi club:

Really?

Eric ma (will never pm you):

He’s always typing. He’s a coder. Lol.

D| satoshi club:

Hahah

Mary | satoshi club:

Guys, I love your sense of humor 😂😂😂

Chao:

Yeah, I just mentioned the stability, we also have 7 layers firewall. The CEO hui is from Paloalto network, he is very experienced in this

Eric ma (will never pm you):

This graphic above really shows VPN vs DPN. VPNs are centralized.

Chao:

Also, have ads block, and finer control of your network condition, like configure tunnels for a specific domain. But these are not related to the question though, Done.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Central weak point. Done also.

Mary | satoshi club:

Btw, will DPN work faster than VPN? I always have troubles with speed

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Many factors will affect that, but VPNs have been known to slow down the internet. With DPN a robust network, everything should flow like water. Smooth.

D| satoshi club:

Me too. Using opera’s VPN most of the time

Mary | satoshi club:

Then I am yours😂😂😂

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Watch that video I sent earlier. The guy said his internet got faster.

Chao:

In most cases, you will not feel much difference when using DPN and without using DPN. Actually, you can configure which domain to use DPN, so for another website, you just use your own network without the DPN function.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Because of the ad-block feature built into the deeper connect.

Mary | satoshi club:

Gotcha!👍

Eric ma (will never pm you):

It’s all about giving users the freedom to choose!

Mary | satoshi club:

Yes, freedom is important! Thank you! Ready to go to the next question, guys?

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Yes

Chao:

Yeah

D| satoshi club:

Q5 from telegram user @testercoin

As I read the “layer structure” from the whitepaper it says there are two layers in the deeper network blockchain. The top layer consists of hundreds of validator nodes and the bottom layer consists of millions of deeper devices. As the top layer is secured by the credit scores of bottom layer devices how do you distribute the rewards to all of those devices? And is it possible for us to create a top layer node and become a validator?

Chao:

Let me answer this one

Eric ma (will never pm you):

For @chaosma these questions are legit guys Love it

Mary | satoshi club:

Our clubbers are masters of questions 😉

Chao:

The block reward will first distribute to different validators according to the total “voting power” of the validators. After that, the reward will split into two parts: pos and PoC according to their total weight of this validator. Then distribute to delegators according to their credit scores (if PoC) or their token amounts (if pos)

Eric ma (will never pm you):

While Chao is answering this question, I’d like everyone to know that we are the winners of the builder’s substrate’s web3 grant. We are building important substrate infrastructure for Polkadot! https://www.bloomberg.com/press-releases/2021-01-06/deeper-network-wins-web3-foundation-grant

Chao:

Yes, it’s possible. We are using Polkadot’s BABE/GRANDPA consensus algorithm. And in each era, you can choose to become validator candidates. Then there will be elections to determine the validators of the next era

Mary | satoshi club:

Congratulations on this! 👏 How will these elections take place?

D| satoshi club:

Congrats! 🥳

Chao:

Done

Eric ma (will never pm you):

“that sh*t ain’t easy to win.” -Abraham lincoln

D| satoshi club:

That’s for sure 😄

Mary | satoshi club:

I even can’t imagine, but you did this!

Did he really say this? 😂

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet 😉

Mary | satoshi club:

Ahaha 🤣

Chao:

We use the pharagmen (forget the exact spelling) algorithm which is the one used by Polkadot and Kusama

Mary | satoshi club:

Yes, my spelling limps now😂

Eric ma (will never pm you):

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/deeper-network

Chao:

I am also thinking of simplifying this part because this algorithm is np hard and there is no optimal solution.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Does anyone know Cryptolark?

These Are the Five Hottest New Altcoins on the Market, According to Crypto Trader Lark Davis

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Guess what, he thinks DPR is one of the hottest new altcoins coming up!

Mary | satoshi club:

I have a lot of material to read after our ama😂

D| satoshi club:

Yep

Mary | satoshi club:

Wen listings? 😂

D| satoshi club:

When Binance? 👀

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Make some popcorn. Uniswap APR 10 UTC !!!! Binance another tier one exchanges coming up we hope! We are working on all this!

Mary | satoshi club:

So, everyone who will miss the sale have chance 😉

Chao:

Haha, let me know if you want to discuss or any questions.

Mary | satoshi club:

Sure!

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Super short but great read for you: https://cointelegraph.com/news/DPN-vs-VPN-the-dawn-of-decentralized-web-privacy

D| satoshi club:

Thanks!

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Any other good questions?

Mary | satoshi club:

One question left from this part 😉

D| satoshi club:

Q6 from telegram user @wormz28

Deeper connect is a decentralized gateway to web 3.0. That means no single entity can dominate over the entire network. So aside from deeper connect securely access various decentralized network services provided by deeper network, what else it can do and provides? Also, how will your deeper’s decentralized dns (ddns) and deeper’s decentralized cdn (dcdn) work in providing the foundational infrastructure services for web 3.0?

Eric ma (will never pm you):

@chaosma you wanna take this one? He probably had to use the bathroom. So…

Currently, the internet is controlled by so many large conglomerates like google, amazon, etc.

Mary | satoshi club:

Deeper will control it now? 😂 You can take it😀

Chao:

In the final form, nobody can control it. 😂

Mary | satoshi club:

Because you will control your equipment production? 😀

Chao:

Nope, we will open source the software/hardware eventually.  Currently, you can see this is the protection for the early stage.

Mary | satoshi club:

Really? That’s the point, take my words back😉

D| satoshi club:

Deeper is inevitable

Eric ma (will never pm you):

We have a solution to this: Queue chao…. Lol. Did you wash your hands?

https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/is-blockchain-really-the-way-forward-for-better-cybersecurity/

Chao:

Yes! Actually, in our roadmap, the second stage is called dweb, it means all kinds of decentralized service including DNS and CDN.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

The answer to that article is yes.

Mary | satoshi club:

Guys, don’t you think that if people will really start to use deeper in some years someone will add your name to this list? 😀

Currently, the internet is controlled by so many large conglomerates like google, amazon…’

Eric ma (will never pm you):

Imagine owning your own domain name. Not google owned or GoDaddy owned?

Chao:

It’s different, the google amazon have centralized server to record the data. We don’t control the data

Eric ma (will never pm you):

We have the solution for that.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

You own it.

Chao:

The blockchain code is already open-sourced.

D| satoshi club:

@chaosma @ericma888 thank you for the answers in part 1! We will open the chat for 2 minutes, after the chat will be closed – you can start select questions from Satoshi Club members! 😇

Eric ma (will never pm you):

@chaosma you choose 5, I choose 5

Chao:

Sure.

Eric ma (will never pm you):

I don’t like to choose dummy questions, FYI. Give me good ones 😉

D| satoshi club:

And…3, 2, 1…🚀

Q – 1 from a telegram user @highpee

Currently the 5th generation Deeper Network hardware are of two types: Deeper Connect Mini and Nano. Are there any differences between these two and will there be other versions? How easy will it be to set up these devices? Are there any tutorial guide and can we use both to partake in the Deeper mining program?

Eric Ma (Will never PM you):

Deeper mini specs are better than the specs on the nano. But the price reflects that also.

Mini specs:
ARM Quad-cores
Up to 1.6GHz
DDR4 2GB
USB2.0 Type-A
1Gbps
DC 5V/3A

Nano specs:
ARM Quad-cores
Up to 1.6GHz
DDR4 1GB
USB2.0 Type-A
500Mbps
DC 5V/3A

Q – 2 from a telegram user @ninoska0012

Mining incentives ensure the robustness of the network compared to traditional P2P network models. I understand that each node operator has the ability to be both a client and a server; Do node operators get mining rewards too? How are these rewards distributed?

Chao:

There are two layers: first layer is the validator nodes, similar to any other blockchain. For the second layer, the light node is the deeper connect device. For this kind of node/device, it will earn DPR tokens when sharing bandwidth and accumulate credit scores. then it can delegate credit scores to validators and earn block rewards accordingly.

Q – 3 from a telegram user @cryptonation2

What are Deeper network targeted customers and audiences for the market? What are your strategies to aware of the non-english community?

Chao:

We are targeting just normal household users. We would imagine every household can have one of our devices. Currently, our devices are sold over many countries, the majority of them are distributed in the US, Europe, China, Singapore, etc.

Q – 4 from a telegram user @NataliyaKil

What kind of warranty do you give for your equipment? How can a buyer issue a return if necessary?

Chao:

Yes, if there is any issue, feel free to return. Currently, there almost no users complaining about our devices, the complaining is about shipping taking a long time, etc. We are working on expand the product line.

Q – 5 from a telegram user @didikpluss

I saw a lot of fake DEEPER telegram groups, not less than 6 telegram groups.
This has proven that the DEEPER project is indeed extraordinary.
How do you socialize with the DEEPER community?

Eric Ma (Will never PM you):

The legitimate Deeper Network group is: https://t.me/DeeperNetwork The community is a place for us to update, connect, and a place to listen. It’s the foundation of our project. Grassroots purchase of our Deeper Connect units starts from the community. We love our community and all that it brings. It’s important for us to educate the community not only on our product but also on how to protect themselves from scams. None of our team will ever reach out to you first. If you come across a scammer, paste their Telegram handle into @notoscam and they will be banished from Telegram forever.

Q – 6 from a telegram user @Johana0012

Decentralized private network is a P2P decentralized bandwidth sharing network to avoid censorship and ensure privacy. How many active nodes do you have and where are they located?

Chao:

Currently, there are almost 10k devices across the world, they are mainly in the US, Europe, and China right now.

Q – 7 from a telegram user @Pratze

A few days ago, there was a problem with Facebook due to 500 million user privacy data leaked online. What is your opinion regarding this problem? Do you think Deeper Network can give and solve all problems regarding privacy?

Eric Ma (Will never PM you):

Yes with our enterprise class security, when you plug and play the system into your network, everything in the network is protected from hackers, malware, trackers and your business and private data leaking out into the internet. The Deeper Connect will keep all your data inside your own network and safe from prying eyes. None of your data will be leaked even when you’re using Facebook, for instance. It’s the best solution for your home, work, and travel network.

Q – 8 from a telegram user @highpee

You are developing your own decentralized VPN to further promote users privacy, but VPNs are already being used by Internet users to mask IP and ensure privacy. So, how is your DPN which built on a blockchain better than a regular VPN? How effective can it be considering that blockchain itself is an open network which naturally is not designed for the private purpose?

Eric Ma (Will never PM you):

Deeper Network decentralized vs centralized

VPN are weak because they have a central point of attack. VPN companies log your ip and info. Decentralized Private Networks does not. DPNs directly connect P2P without revealing your IP info to anyone. It’s a million times better. And no single point of attack will affect the network so it’s always dependable, unlike centralized VPNs. In addition, no monthly fees for DPN! Lifetime DPN.

Q – 9 from a telegram user @esrarengizbtc

Deeper Network makes very important promises about our data privacy, but how will you have next-generation security measures in the face of developing cyber attack methods? Will you need to constantly update your firewall and do you have a dedicated team to do this?

Chao:

Currently, the protection is on the 7 layers of the network stack, for example, it can detect malicious network access and block ads. In the future, as we grow, we definitely will have a dedicated team to do this. But the better one is in the long term, when the network system is open sourced, everybody could contribute to it.
