Hello, Satoshi clubbers Another AMA took place in Satoshi Club and we would like to introduce to you the AMA session with our friends from Arianee and our guest was Luc – @LucJodet. The AMA took place on the 29th of March.

The AMA session was divided into 3 parts with a total crypto reward pool of 500$

In this AMA Recap, we will try to summarise the most interesting points for you.

Part 1 — introduction and questions from the Telegram&WebSite

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Hello Satoshi Club! We are happy to announce our AMA session with Arianee! Welcome to Satoshi Club😀 @LucJodet welcome here 😀

Luc:
Hi, thanks for having me!

D. | Satoshi Club:
Hello! Welcome to our club! 😇 How are you doing?

Luc:
Great! We had quite a few good news today already. EVRYTHNG released their open-source integration of Arianee and Vogue Business talked about us. So could not be better 🙂

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Let’s start our AMA 🚀 Luc, please, introduce yourself and tell us more about Arianee😀
And of course, tell us about Arianee news🔥

Luc:
Of course. Arianee is the standard for product digital identity. We use NFTs to bring physical products into the digital realm and enable new features such as 1 click insurance, instant resale, digital closet and anonymous clienteling.
We managed to gather a consortium with some of the best brands in the luxury and fashion industry who are already either using the protocol or participating in its development and governance (full list here: https://www.arianee.org/members). They are all either testing, building on, or helping to develop the protocol. Several brands including Breitling and Vacheron Constantin, but also more up-and-coming brands such as RSVP or Satoshi Studio are already live on the protocol delivering Arianee certificates to their customers.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Awesome! We need such kind of standards!
Btw, do you have a Vogue Business article link? Can you share with us?

Luc:
https://www.voguebusiness.com/technology/inside-the-french-fashion-tech-bubble

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Thanks! We will read it! And thank you for the intro! Do you want to add something or we can go to the questions from our community?😀

Luc:
Let’s get straight to it!

D. | Satoshi Club:
Q1 from Telegram user @jodasf
Arianee seeks to equip interface developers with a framework for certificate management platforms or certificate portfolios. Does this mean that the developers themselves are the ones who must design their certificate or Arianne sets an unchangeable global standard?

Luc:
We, meaning Arianee Project non-profit and its members, set and update regularly a standard for a digital passport for luxury products. This is a data format on top of the ERC721 standard that enables brands and developers to share and read different information. For instance, we just modified the standard to easily add a .usdz (3D model) file that can be displayed in arianee compatible wallets.

Now developers need to generate their certificates following that format (tech doc here: https://docs.arianee.org/docs/introduction). In other words: you can add a 3D file or a video or you can just add a picture. No matter what, Arianee compatible wallets will display the content of your certificate properly.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Is this just for luxury products?

Luc:
At the moment we work mainly with luxury and fashion brands. It was the best go-to-market for us as certificates of authenticity and resale are two well-established concepts in Luxury and fashion.

We plan to expand in other industries in particular in Wine & Spirits and Cosmetics.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Gotcha! Which brands are you working with now? Actually, we have a question regarding this, so we can go directly to it😀

Luc:
Alright I’ll keep what I was writing for that question 😉

D. | Satoshi Club:
Q2 from Telegram user @Andrey_Seleznov
Love that Arianee aims to interact with real-world items! Could you please tell me if you already have some deals struck with small or big live businesses? What goods categories do you expect to benefit the most from using the Arianee?

Luc:
Vacheron Constantin of the Richemont Group (second largest Luxury conglomerate in the world after LVMH) was the first $1B sales brand to put an exclusive series of watches on the Arianee protocol. Since then Breilting launched at full scale. Since January 1st every Breitling watch comes with an Arianee certificate.

Fashion brand Ba&Sh also launched on a limited edition in December. We also have many smaller brands such as Satoshi Studio which launched back in early 2020 or Agent33 (one of Billie Eilish’s favorite brands) which just announced they were joining the Arianee protocol on Friday.

Finally, there are many brands at the pilot project stage but for which we are not allowed to communicate publicly just yet. Many of them are already members of the consortium through….
(full list here: https://www.arianee.org/members).

And more will be announced before the summer.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Which direction do you want to add later? Probably you have a personal preference?

Luc:
When it comes to a brand we are still talking mainly about Luxury and fashion but we might have a few surprises.

I have to admit I am really interested in what can be done in the cosmetics industry. Perfumes in particular are how most people experience luxury brands as not everybody can spend thousands of dollars on a watch but most people can spend 20 to 60$ for perfume.

A large luxury brand whose name I will not reveal gave us these numbers: we have 80M customers: 1M for our bags and clothes, 79M for our perfumes…. The market is much wider for cosmetics than it is for watches and bags.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Oh, perfumes! I feel the aroma of luxury! Thank you for your answers! We are waiting for surprises from you! Ready to proceed?

Luc:
Absolutely.

D. | Satoshi Club:
Q3 from Telegram user @Arisabela
Nowadays, almost everything can be digitized and have its own identity on the internet, it says on your website that you’re offering an augmented digital identity almost for every valuable object in the world, can these assets always be transferable? Is there a way to lock these assets indefinitely and keep them private or hidden or is it linked perpetually to an open-source network?

Luc:
Good question.
The digital identity is recorded on the blockchain however the underlying information is encoded. This was a non-negotiable for luxury brands, especially watches, as the amount of units they produce and sell per year is strategic information that they do not want to share with the public (and their competitors).

While every arianee passport is trackable on-chain, the underlying information (brand, model, etc…) can only be decrypted by either the issuing brand or the current owner of the product.

D. | Satoshi Club:
So brands have access to the private information of their clients?

Mary | Satoshi Club:
For another asset can you make underlying info public if they won’t have such requirements as watches brands?

Luc:
Brands have access to the information recorded on the passports of the products they created. We do not store any personal data on these passports therefore brands will not have access to any personal information.
They will however be able to see whether the watch changed the owner (but not who the owner is or was) as well as other events such as repairs, servicing, participation to an exclusive event, etc.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Thank you for your answers! Ready to go to the next question?

Luc:
Ready.

D. | Satoshi Club:
Q4 from Telegram user @meml97
One thing that intrigued me while looking at your website was the members part, where you have three different categories; Associate members, Maison members and Partner members. Can you tell us more about this, the difference between these three categories and how many members are on each one of these sections? On what are you based on to put partners on their respective categories and what the members from these three categories contribute to Arianee?

Luc:
Partner membership is for all companies which are not luxury brands, It is for technological integrators such as Dentsu Tracking or EVRYTHNG but also companies such as Mazars or GS1 who recommend our standard to their clients.

Maison members are for any brand that whishes to issue Arianee identities for their products.

An associate member is a special category reserved for brands that would fall in the Maison category but which had or will have an outsized impact on the development of the Arianee Protocol. Richemont because of its importance in the luxury industry and because they supported us since 2018, is the first brand to have this honor. There are limited spots and we keep them for brands of this caliber.

D. | Satoshi Club:
Cool! Thank you for your clarification! 😊 If you are ready we can proceed to the next question?

Luc:
Of course.

D. | Satoshi Club:
Q5 from Telegram user @h1drX
Your wallet is not like ordinary wallets, with The Arianee wallet I can use digital passports on my phone to verify and prove the authenticity of my most precious items. So what would be the complete process that I have to go through to verify and prove the authenticity of an item? Also, is the wallet available for Android and IOS? Where can I download the wallet?

Luc:
While anybody can issue an Ariane Passport, only brands with a verified digital Identity can issue Arianee passports for their products under their brand. This is how we ensure authenticity. Now let’s say you own a Breitling which did not come with an Arianee passport (older than 4 months in other words), starting on April 1st you can go to Breilitng and ask them to authenticate it and issue a digital passport.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
That’s great! I wish all luxury brand have Arianee passport 🤩

Luc:
When it comes to how to claim your passport:
The Arianee digital wallet is a non-custodial blockchain wallet. The private key is stored on your phone and can be backed up with 12 words or on your Google Cloud or iCloud account. We never ask for personal information such as email or password. And yes it is available both on iOS and Android. We also went through a lot of hoops to ensure it works properly in China where a lot of luxury product owners live. It was key for most luxury brands as China is the growth market for luxury.
Done 🙂

D. | Satoshi Club:
Is it possible that other crypto wallets will support your digital passport as well? Like Trust Wallet for example, etc?

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Thanks! Now we will know where we can check and verify authenticity!

Luc:
It is possible and it will happen. We are already in talks with several wallet providers. Moreover, several brands are actually building their own wallets for Arianee passports.

D. | Satoshi Club:
Nice! thank you for the answers! 😊 Ready for the last question from part 1?

Luc:
Yes!

D. | Satoshi Club:
Q6 from Telegram user @mctrho
According to the arianee roadmap this year you are going to nurture other markets, what does this mean? What are the details of this part of the roadmap? How is this process going? Also, why does the arianee roadmap only last until 2021? Do you have no plans for next year?

Luc:
Further other markets relate to an earlier question: we are starting to work with Cosmetics and Wine & Spirits companies.

The roadmap you see here comes from the white paper that we wrote in late 2017 and early 2018. We delivered everything promised (mostly on time 😉 ) and now the protocol is live, we have brands on the protocol and it can continue to be built by us and the developers who want to build on it. We do have a wish list but the roadmap is defined by the members of the Arianee Project and by any individual or company who wishes to build something new on top of the protocol!

Mary | Satoshi Club:
I haven’t seen today any info about your token, do you have it?😀

Luc:
Everything is here: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/arianee
A star ⭐️ is welcomed 🙂

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Sure 👍 Thank you!

D. | Satoshi Club:
Satoshi Clubbers let’s hit the like on this page! 💪😄

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Thank you, Luc, for the answers! The live part is coming! Are you ready?😉

Luc:
Ready!

Part 2 — live questions from the Telegram community

Q1 from Telegram user @ Alice

As an independent organization, where does Arianee Protocol get its funding from to be able to develop itself and guarantee the long-term sustainability of Arianee Protocol?

Luc:
Good question: we raised 327BTC an ICO in 2018. Members also pay annual dues.
There is also a separate company that works on SAAS solutions leveraging the open-source Arianee protocol which just raised a round with some well-known VCs. These VC also bought some tokens at that moment to get exposure to crypto-economics as well.

Q2 from Telegram user @ Alikaa Azzahra

Can #Ariafyi provide a way or steps to buy Aria20 on QuickSwap without breaking the bank?

Luc:
Easy! We published step by step guide and video on how to buy on Quickswap: https://link.medium.com/YD5QSLzBFeb

We will also publish a step-by-step to farm $QUICK with ARIA20 in the next couple of days.

Q3 from Telegram user @ Khushiiiiiiiiiiii Ggggggg

From a startup project to a mainstream project, being a pioneer in the industry, does the team anticipate that how many new startups will show up and compete?

Luc:
We have had many competitors over the years. However, we do something that none of our other competitors manage to do: convince top brands to join the project. Finding the tech and governance equilibrium as well as the applications that convinces these brands to join the protocol is not easy but the experience and talent of our team enabled us to find that perfect recipe.

Actually fun fact, a couple of weeks ago, one of our competitors called us saying: “every time we go to a brand, they ask whether we are compatible with Arianee, so let’s make that happen.”
The best compliment we ever had 🙂

Q4 from Telegram user @ Rыs’ka

Arianee opens up a new world of circular services and a respectful link between brands and owners with digital passports. You promise to share a demo with them and provide full support. By becoming a member, a new user gets access to all the tools and resources they need. Can we, not being your users yet, see your demo right now?

Luc:
Sure you can just go here:
https://docs.arianee.org/docs/livedemo

Q5 from Telegram user @ Surendra Satoshi Club

Hello mate! Where can I trade Aria20 tokens? Can you give me a real contract address?

Luc:
On Ethereum: 0xedf6568618a00c6f0908bf7758a16f76b6e04af9
On Polygon: 0x46f48fbdedaa6f5500993bede9539ef85f4bee8e
BSC: coming soon…

Q6 from Telegram user @ Dayo

Since the Arianee protocol aims to be flexible as much as possible, Do you have plans on multichain incorporation (running on BSC or Polkadot, etc) so as to drive more adoption for the protocol?

Luc:
Absolutely!
We are a protocol that can run on any EVM-based blockchain.
We are already looking at xDAI, Polygon, BSC and Lukso of which we are a long-time partner project and Fabian is an advisor to Arianee.

Q7 from Telegram user @ Atom

Some other projects or protocols can copy the real word items too. How can you make sure it is only represented by Arianee?

Luc:
We work directly with brands so if a brand works with us, they will only issue on Arianee. Beware of other projects who issue certificates without the consent of the issuing brand, these certificates of authenticity are worthless without the seal of approval of the brand.

Q8 from Telegram user @ Stephen Ola

Hi. AGENT 33 was announced recently as Arianee Consortium’s latest member. How can users benefit from this partnership?👍

Luc:
Oh, there are so many cool things to say about this partnership even though I cannot reveal it just yet.
One little secret: they are really really interested in how to bring their products into the metaverse….engouh said 🙊

Q9 from Telegram user @ Coin Test

Why the coin ticket is ARIA20? What is 20 representing?

Luc:
Because we use both ERC721 for our passport and ERC20 for our utility token, we wanted to ensure there was no confusion so:

  • ArianeeSA is for digital passports (SA stands for Smart Asset).
  • Aria20 for the utility token.

Q10 from Telegram user @ hydra

If I’m not mistaken, Aria20 is listed on Sushiswap, Bilaxy, Quickswap, and Uniswap. Do you plan to list the token on other DEXs and CEXs? Aria20 has good liquidity in the exchanges in which it is listed?

Luc:
Yes yes yes, we are in talks with a tier 1 centralized exchange and we hope we will have some good news very soon!
When it comes to liquidity we have about $2M of liquidity between Uniswap and Quickswap so all in all pretty good liquidity I would say even though I encourage everyone to contribute to the liquidity. You also get a very good APY (~250%) on the ARIA20-QUICK pair and a pretty good APY (~90%) on the ARIA20-ETH pair on Quickswap. So not too shabby…

Part 3 – Quiz Results

As usual, for the third part, Satoshi Club Team asked the chat 4 questions about the crypto project. A link to a Quiz form was sent into the chat.
