I am a developer, investor, and student at the University of Toronto. I got into crypto in 2019 where I initially started investing in Bitcoin, I then got really interested in the development side of crypto, and started developing on Ethereum. NFTs have really caught my attention this year and I am really excited in working in the space!

My name is Maxim and I am the Co-Founder of Altura. I am involved with cryptocurrency mining, managing private investment, and educating people in the blockchain space. I initially got into cryptocurrency in 2016, when I started my first bitcoin mining rig.

Also, I should introduce what Altura is.

Altura is a platform for minting, trading and integrating NFTs. Its primary focus is on in-game items and ensuring that gamers have the opportunity to actually own their items in a decentralized manner. We also want to be the first to introduce Smart NFTs and lootboxes to the NFT world.

We became aware of the significance of NFTs in early 2020.

Yea so the main focus of the platform is to be able to mint buy and sell smart NFTs

We are targeting the gaming NFT sector however.

Your Project was initially named PLUTUS but I came across an announcement that you have changed name to Altura NFT. I also discovered that your twitter account with its numerous followers have been taken down. All these events took place simultaneously on 28/4/21 at the same time your presale was running on OxBull and this had made some investors to already start getting worried. What necessitated this change of name in the midst of presale? What aspects of your project and team will be affected by this sudden change and in what ways are investors expected to be affected?

Yes good question. So we initially thought we were cool to role with the name Plutus. We were aware of the competition, however we thought that as they were officially registered as Pluton, there would be no issue. We then got a cease and desist letter from the company, and found out that they had also registered Plutus as well, and thus we had to change our name.

Our twitter account was not taken down. we just changed the tag. It is still up and never went down. I do understand the confusion however.

Nothing about our project has changed whatsoever besides the name. Everything else is 100% the same.

We do apologize to investors and supporters. We understand this situation was not ideal, and it unfortunately happened all at the same time, right before launch which resulted in a messy situation.

Yes, we definitely understand. It was a radical change for all of us, and it, unfortunately, happened last minute as well. We wanted to stay legally compliant however that’s why we decided to make the decision.

The truth is that it is the first time that I hear about the “intelligent” or “dynamic” NFTs, first of all these types of NFTs are built or devised by you? If not, where did the idea of smart NFTs come from? Also, I would like to know what are the main advantages of smart NFTs over traditional ones. Can smart NFTs acquire value over time? How? Do you think that NFTs may be more in demand soon?

Smart NFTs is not an entirely unique concept, there had been previous attempts and iterations of NFTs with dynamic properties, however for the most part no major platform has succeeded in introducing smart NFTs. The concept has been around for some time but has not yet been effectively implemented.

The idea came to me when I was reading a blog by Chainlink. The blog was about using oracle driven data to effect the properties of NFTs, and thats when I got the idea of smart NFTs.

Smart NFTs like any regular NFT can acquire value based ons supply and demand. If there is a demand for them they will become valuable.

I do believe that NFTs will continue to evolve and grow and the demand for non fungible tokens and different use cases for NFTs will grow as well.

This chainlink article inspired a lot of my vision for Altura.

Can you give us an example of smart NFTs? how you will be use them?

Will your NFTs can be able to change their characteristic?

Sure. So one instance for example is a Bitcoin NFT that has a didHit100k property. This NFT property can actually change dynamically when the price of BTC hits 100k.

Yes, so with the dynamic properties, the game developers implementing the NFTs can make the NFTs function/ behave differently in-game based on their properties.

For instance, a sword NFT, could have a “sharpness property” and while that is just a numeric value, it could literally effect how strong that weapon is in-game.

We are trying to make Smart NFTs easy to create and use within games.

I understand that Plutus NFT is a NFT gaming platform which have native token ‘Altura’. Could you explain to us what are the function of Altura token in Plutus NFT project? Is it for game currency, use for farm/stake, or maybe for governance system?

The purpose of our token is to be used on the marketplace for buying and selling NFTs. Additionally, we hope to add governance such that ALU holders will be able to dictate the future of Altura.

Altura is a BEP20 token built on the Binance smart chain. It has a total supply of 1 billion.
The distribution is as follows:

10% Team
10% Marketing
15% Operation & dev
10% Reserve & Advisory
30% IDO
10% Private
15% Liquidity

Will I be offered templates and elements to create an NFT or will I be able to use my own materials? This function is paid, as I understand it, because you need to connect to Metamask?

Yes, you can create your own NFT! I’m not sure what they mean by my own templates/ own materials. You can upload your own image and set your own name/ title.

You do not have to pay us to make an NFT, you have to connect your metamask however to interact with the smart contracts.

You only have to pay gas fees in BNB, on our platform. We are not charging any money to make NFTs.

And after this it will be tradable on your marketplace?

Yes, you can already buy/ sell and trade them.

Altura want to create truly random loot boxes on the blockchain that drop NFTs with varying rarities when they are unlocked. This is a nice idea but can you tell us if how much to unlock this loot boxes? Is it worth to pay to unlock loot boxes for the NFT we can get while it unlocks? Is there any minimum loot boxes to unlock for each users of Altura? To give a little idea for NFT inside each loot boxes,can you tell us what kind of NFT that can be unlocked to a particular loot boxes? Thank you

The price to unlock will be determined by the creator of the loot box. whether or not it is worth paying for one depends on the supply and demand of both the loot boxes and the items inside

We plan to make our own loot box collection for instance where users will be able to get a bear NFT. Each NFT will have a different rarity such that some bears are very common while others are very rare

We believe that unpacking will either be free or cost money. This is set by the creator. As the loot box is also an ERC1155, it can be listed elsewhere. However, it cannot be listed on opensea for example since they do not support BSC.

On your projects whitepaper, i came accross one of the ways game developers can earn revenue through transaction tax. Kindly explain more about this initiative of yours? How will this bring about a win-win situation to the developer, buyer and Plutus?

Sure! So transaction tax can be set by the creator of the item upon minting. Every time the item is bought/ sold a fee is taken and sent to the creator of the tiem (which may be a game developer). This allows for passive income for the dveelopers. This is a win win situation for everyone.

We chose the name Altura (altitude/height in Spanish) because we wanted to set a standard within the team that anything is in sky’s reach.

Our plans for the short term are to have a successful launch and to also focus on our loot boxes. We strongly believe that loot boxes will drive a lot of adoption to our marketplace and products and this is something we want to spend a lot of time and effort perfecting. Plutus is unique because of the unique features that we bring to the NFT world, such as our Smart NFTs and loot boxes.
Currently, we have created the MVP for the NFT marketplace and are creating Lootboxes as we speak!
By next year we hope to have full Smart NFT functionality and our NFT Lootboxes for use in games, where users can buy and sell these items.

What is the business model of your project? How did it work? and

Our business model is to charge a transaction fee every time an item is bought and sold on our marketplace. Our customers are both, gamers who will be using the in-game items within the games that they play and game developers who will be using Altura to integrate NFTs into their video games.

As an investor who usually holds my bag for months/years, and considering that ALTURA is a long term investment/project, would you also ride these “trends” to stay relevant on the market?

From the start, the Altura team has understood that value creation is creating a product that can attract people to use it. As more people use the platform the more valuable it becomes! At Altura, we will only ‘ride’ a trend if we think it will be beneficial to our user base, and help to create a better overall experience.
