Let’s start our AMA!

🚀

Could you please introduce yourself and tell us more about TimeCoin Protocol?

Masato Kakamu:
Ok.

My name is Masato Kakamu. I started a company called Globalway about 17 years ago.
Globalway runs B2C and B2B business and listed on Tokyo Stock Exchange.
We started TimeTicket business 2016. We started our blockchain project called TimeCoinProtocol from 2018. TimeCoinProtocol is the decentralized sharing economy platform on Ethereum blockchain which 3rd party dApp developers can easily develop and operate sharing economy services. User data can be shared among dApps on the platform under user permissions. We plan to launc NFT and DeFi functionalities on TimeCoinProtocol as well.
https://timecoinprotocol.com/

We have 2 dApps, TimeTicket and eSportStars.
TimeTicket already has 400,000 users. The revenue has grown 30 times over 3 years.
https://www.timeticket.jp
We released the first version of eSportStars on Oct. We have already acquired 10,000 users.
https://esportstars.jp/?select_lang=en
eSportStars includes Japanese, English, Chinese, and Portuguese.
We are under test marketing to host many tournaments to acquire users on eSportStars in Japan. Also, we started tournaments in India. And, we will also start South America tournament. We also start contracting with esports related Youtuber and plan to create esports VTubers.

Please check the following Youtube Channel. It is in Japanese.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
Awesome 👍

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Wow! Impressive!

Masato Kakamu:
It is just test-marketing stage. We are confident that we can get a lot more.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
And today you have 45k audience 😉 and they asked you a lot of questions!

Masato Kakamu:
It is just test-marketing in Japan.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
When global?😀

Masato Kakamu:
Any time soon after the token sale.

We already built the following

Can I explain about our dApp, eSportStars?

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Of course!

You have to😀

We want to know everything about TimeCoin Protocol!

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
By the way we have a question from the community on this topic

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Yes😉

We can give you a first question from our community and there you will be able to explain 😀

Masato Kakamu:
Esports industry is lead by esports gaming companies. Gaming companies create rules and govern the way players make money from their games. We want to create esports service which game players and fans can make benefits the most. We believe the service also help gaming industry to grow. Professional players can not make ends meet by relying on winning prizes from gaming tournament. We want to create a place where professional players and fans can easily earn money which also help them to make better engagement with their fans. To extend the eSportStars service, we want to offer esports gambling as well. We offer eSports mining for eSportStars participants to earn TimeCoin. More TimeCoin participant owns, better service they can get. It is like DeFi.

Anybody can host and participate tournament and winners can receive TimeCoin.
Users can trade their esports related goods and service using TimeCoin.
Streamers can colorcast video streaming on tournament and game match to earn TimeCoin.
Users can bet on esports game match and earn TimeCoin.

The current status of eSportStars is

We released the first version of eSportStars which users can participate tournament with winning prize. eSportStars currently have Fortnite, PUBG, FreeFire, APEX, and Knives Out. We have about 10,000 users. It is available in Chinese, Japanese, English, and Portuguese.

We will add the following functionalities any time.
We will include over 100 games from all over the world in eSportStars.
We will let anybody to host esports tournaments and esports match in eSportStars.
We will include many languages in eSportStars. (Currently, we have English, Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese).

Market expansion plan of eSportStars.
Promote many tournaments partnering with esports professional teams.
Host many tournaments with high prizes.
Engage agent and management contract with esports professional players and streamers to broadcast eSportStars related videos on Youtube and Twitch. We will eventually replace Youtube and Twitch to build our own video streaming platform to broadcast esports related contents.
We will expand our operation internationally, but we will put special focus on Asian market such as China, India, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, and so on. Then, Russia, Brazil, US, Europe are important market too.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
This is a very promising direction!👍

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Wow!

This direction is really on fire 🔥 now.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
Thank you very much for the great intro! Ready to proceed to the questions?😊

Masato Kakamu:
Yes, please.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
Q1 from Telegram user @ovkneze_big
TimeCoin Protocol position yourself as a dApp platform. Please tell us what DApps you have already implemented and what else are you planning to implement. Also, tell us how recent ETH gas cost influenced on its implementation and development?

Masato Kakamu:
Besides eSportStars, we plan to build TimeTicket as dApp for international market.

We already have TimeTicket which is Japanese version. TimeTicket already has 400,000 users. The revenue has grown 30 times over 3 years. We hit record high revenue in August and continue to grow the business. We expect TimeTicket business to be black in next year and continue to grow the business to acquire 10,000,000 users in the future.

We plan to use off-chain technology to avoid ETH gas cost problem.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
These are very ambitious goals! 🚀

Masato Kakamu:
We need to seriously enhance eSportStars, dApp right now.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
So, it’s your main goal now? As i see that you prefer to develop one thing perfect and then go to another 😀

Step by step.

Masato Kakamu:
TimeTicket already got $4 Million USD equity funding and our blockchain arm, Swiss subsidiary, TimeTicket GmbH runs TimeCoinProtocol.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Very nice! So, you’re focused on two dApps?

Masato Kakamu:
Our goal is to build the decentralized sharing economy platform, but without strong dApp and user base, it is not attractive. We need to attract over 1 million users at least and start offering dApp developers opportunities to run dApp on our protocol.

The first priority is to make eSportStars successful. And, decentralized version TimeTicket.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Got it! I think there’s nothing impossible for you!

Ready to proceed?😀

Masato Kakamu:
Yes.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
Decentralized platform with sharing economy. This is a very interesting direction.

Q2 from Telegram user @konditer_rolex
Help figure out your tokenomics. At the end of 2020, you held an IEO. How many tokens were sold then? You are now conducting two more special sales and intend to sell 10 million tokens. Total supply of 100 million. How many tokens in the hands of the team? And why the price the sale that you are making is much lower than the market? Now the price of a token on the exchange is 60k satoshi. And you are offering a price of 4k satoshi !!! Why are these discounts?

Masato Kakamu:
Since our company won $4 Million USD equity funding and our revenue and market value is constantly increasing, we did not need to sell our token in private sales at all. We used our equity funding side money to build eSportStars and TimeCoinProtocol. Then, we launched IEO on BitForex on Nov 11th, 2020. We did not sell much token in IEO either.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
What about team tokens?

Masato Kakamu:
Not much TimeCoin is traded on BitForex right now. It was just test marketing for us to see how much traction we can create on our token. I think it was successful because TimeCoin market cap is over $1 Billion USDT.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Huge market cap! And you just started!

But if guys which will buy cheap decide to sell their tokens immediately after sale? Don’t you think you can have dump?

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
I’m impressed to be honest😊

Masato Kakamu:
Then, we decided to sell our token in OTC(outside of crypto exchange). The purpose of token sale is to raise money to seriously develop and run eSportStars, TimeTicket, and TimeCoinProtocol. If we have enough funding, we can make the protocol and dApp successful. The trading volume on crypto exchange is low, so we decided to give huge discount on TimeCoin to new investors. This is the great opportunity.

Here is more information. https://timecoinprotocol.com/sale

Masato Kakamu:
Good Point, let me explain.

Since there are not much TimeCoin are traded on BitForex, we can easily buy back our token. We actually bought back most of TimeCoin in BitForex. We can sustain the price of TimeCoin. Our new token sales starting Feb 15th. The new investors who can get our token with huge discount, but the investors need to hold token at least 90 days after all the OTC token sales are done. We actually careful to distribute TimeCoin to investors after the 90 days of token sale, so nobody can sell TimeCoin before the lockup period is over.

@madamlobster Does it make sense?

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Yes, it makes😀 btw, didn’t you think to list on more exchanges?

Masato Kakamu:
TimeCoin will be listed on several crypto exchanges after the 90 days. Yes. Yes.

We need to increase liquidity of token.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
Can you share what these exchanges are?

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Or give us a hint😉

Masato Kakamu:
Actually, we are planning to be listed on some exchanges after the token sales before the lockup period is over. In this way, when investors who bought token during token sale can sell token in some exchanges and also bring new investors trading on these exchanges as well.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Yes! Also, trading competitions helps wide distribution 😉 but I think exchanges know better.

Masato Kakamu:
The exchanges are top exchanges. But, I think it is important to be listed on several exchanges.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Yes, it’s really a key!

Hope to see your announcements about listings soon!

Masato Kakamu:
Yes, it is not difficult to do. We will announce the news soon.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Thank you for your answers!

Ready to jump to the next question?

Masato Kakamu:
Yes.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
Q3 from Telegram user @Unknown_Mark
Hii
I saw on your website that “A portion of TimeCoin tokens earned and transaction fees are redistributed to users of the platform” can you please calrify this to me and what is the amount or the percentage that I will get back from the fees ? Can you explain this point please.. Thanks

Masato Kakamu:
We are trying to distribute token in contribution base. Especially, people who purchase services and goods on dApp. They can earn TimeCoin. Also, people who sell and promote services can get token as well. The ratio will be announced soon, but it should not be crazy like over 20%…. It is just hurting token economics.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Yes, i remember i heard 30% once🤣

Not from you of course.

This earning function wasn’t emplemented yet? In your first two dApps?

Masato Kakamu:
Not implemented yet. We need to build more functionalities. We should not rely on token economy side too much. If we build great services, people use them without giving them token. The main idea is to build eco system.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Gotcha 👍

Thank! Ready to proceed?🚀

Masato Kakamu:
Yes.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
Q4 from Telegram user @meml97
I saw that TimeCoin Protocol will have something called TimeTicket, how will this feature work? Will it be available for anyone or do we have to pay something (maybe like a vip member pass) ir order to be able to use it? When will it be available and how will you make this service possible without compromising the safety of any of your users?

Masato Kakamu:
TimeTicket is a type of sharing economy service. Gig economy, skill sharing service. To use TimeTicket is free. If a buyer want to purchase a service of seller, a buyer needs to pay for fee. TimeTicket charges commissions out of fee. More than 1,000 transactions each month. We have sellers who make more than 30,000 USD per months. Our revenue jumped to 300,000 USD per month and significantly increasing.

Does it make sense? Please add more questions if my answer is not enough.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Yes! It has sense, it’s marketplace dApp, right?

Masato Kakamu:
Yes, dApp.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Do you have competitors in Japan?😀

Masato Kakamu:
I think this video is helpful to watch to understand. We created the video about 4 month ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0MVP2hXLRU&t=10s

Yes, we have some competitors. But, we are in good position. We can win.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
It’s good stimulus to develop!🚀

Nice video! Thanks for sharing!

Ready to the next question?

Masato Kakamu:
Yes.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
Q5 from Telegram user @Idee01
Since TMCN token is the platform native token that will be used to pay users for hosting and participating in tournaments, will it also function like a Fan token or you plan to launch a Fan Token Offering later? What kind of eSports tournament are you focused on?

Masato Kakamu:
Yes, we are going to build the functionality of fan token. It works like tips.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Tell us more about this😀

Masato Kakamu:
For example, if you are a fan of esport player or VTuber, you can give TimeCoin to them(Staking on the esport player or VTuber). During the staking period, you and esport player and VTuber can earn more TimeCoin.

For example, Youtube Superchat is just giving esport player and VTuber some tips. Our system works differently. Both creator and fan can get benefit.

Make sense?

Mary | Satoshi Club:
Yes, sure!

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
Of course👍

Mary | Satoshi Club:
You have promising plans!

Masato Kakamu:
I can share our pitch deck to understand more detail. Please download the PDF file from our Box. https://globalway.app.box.com/file/772630316806?s=uq7fqj6wecqs2xnttf1hhpr1ojsq84q7

Mary | Satoshi Club:
We will definitely take a look at this!

And just one 6th question left before second live part will start😀

Ready to move to 6th question?😉

Masato Kakamu:
Yes.

Gold Rocket | Satoshi Club:
Q6 from Telegram user @stevefix56
A protocol that acts as an intermediary system which facilitates interactions between dApps, IPES and the Ethereum blockchain. What algorithm does TCP utilize to achieve this? What are the possible flaws to be encountered during interaction? How substainable will TCP be to ensure interactions over future changes.

Masato Kakamu:
I think we should not fully build these functionalities from the beginning. We are not intended to build blockchain geeks showcase. Our dApp and TimeCoinProtocol need to help people who use them. If we fully implement them and try to push ourselves to adapt ETh blockchain and IPFS as much as possible, it might be difficult to succeed. We are going to gradually adapt these technology.

Is this OK?

I can not share the algorithm.

Mary | Satoshi Club:
You can share if it’s possible, i know that we have tech people here who would like to dive deeper 😀

Masato Kakamu:
Sorry, I think I might not fully answer your question.

I will ask my CTO to share on our web later

Let’s move on to the next question

Mary | Satoshi Club:
We will have live part now!

Part 2 — live questions from the Telegram community

Q1 from Telegram user @   Artillery Trade

If I want to buy $TMCN token for investment where can I buy and where can I stake it?

Masato Kakamu:
Our token sale starts from Feb 15th. You can purchase TimeCoin from our homepage. The sale is hosted by our partner called Everest Capital. Please check the following site. The token sale information will be coming up soon. https://timecoinprotocol.com/sale

Q2 from Telegram user @  Johnny ℹ️🅿️

Hello Masato

Your esport dApp innovation is really fantastic🥰🥰 and you have said you planned to eventually replace Youtube and Twitch to build your own video streaming platform to broadcast esports related contents.
That will require you to reach out to larger global audience. Considering the fact that there are numerous strong and viable eSport communities which are not blockchain oriented, are there provisions for these communities to be integrated with your Protocol?

@MasatoKakamu

Masato Kakamu:
I think esports market will grow rapidly and there is no esport platform dominant player in centralized system yet. We plan to build esport platform which players(esport teams), fans, streamers, and advertisers can get benefit. Youtube takes too much fee from creators. Creators are not happy to use Youtube, but they got no choice right now. We need to solve the problem.

Q3 from Telegram user @  sponge bob69

DeFi is one of the hottest and most sought-after topics in the blockchain space right now. Can $TMCN share your opinion on DeFi with us? Do you think DeFi will disrupt the current financial system? What is $TMCN approach to the DeFi sector?

Masato Kakamu:
We are going to implement DeFi and NFT on our dApp and TimeCoinProtocol. Our approach is to enhance user communities. Participants can earn credits by holding and using our token. NFT can be used for exchanging game items and goods.

Q4 from Telegram user @  Moe

Ambassadors play a very important role in every project, Do you have an ambassador program? If yes, how can I be one? @MasatoKakamu

Masato Kakamu:
We need a lot of help to make our project successful. We need to promote our project and token sale. We have PoC program. https://timecoinprotocol.com/poc

Q5 from Telegram user @  o0s$a4l

I have followed esports for many years since Counter Strike 1.6, I live in South America and I saw that esportstarts be in this region, what games are available for my region and how can I participate in them, is CSGO also available?
@MasatoKakamu

Masato Kakamu:
Yes, CSGO will be ready soon. We are going to prepare more than 1,000 game title soon.

Q6 from Telegram user @  Centos Manager

Is it possible to create our own dApps using your platform and your ecosystem?

Masato Kakamu:
Yes, we will plan to open for 3rd parties.

Q7 from Telegram user @  r s

@MasatoKakamu Is there any maximum limit to purchase the TMCN token?

Masato Kakamu:
Yes, we are planning to raise about $10 Million USD. If people want to invest large amount of money in TimeCoin, they can ask us through our token sale page.

Q8 from Telegram user @  Dump & Pump Hodl

Currently you are on the Asian marketplace where Esports have really big marketplace right now. What do you think of Esports market future on Global scale?

Masato Kakamu:
Yes, we will expand in global market, but our main focus is in Asian market. China, India, and Indonesia are very important market for us.

Q9 from Telegram user @  Block Chain Stake

You announced to partnering with PUBG game. What is the partnership details with PUBG and how can this benefit the timecoin protocol?

Masato Kakamu:
We start contracting with esport related professional players, VTubers, and Youtubers. We are planning to contract with PUBG related creators as well. Here is our audition information. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1WeP_54rSkdd9EVIJNT2fRfB–eMe_LeVXwkXNRFwS9g/edit

Q10 from Telegram user @  Crypto Minds

Have you got plans with partnerships gaming companies or are you against them?

Masato Kakamu:
We can partner with gaming companies. Some of gaming companies are open to partner with us.

Q11 from Telegram user @  Rizki Kori A

Can you briefly describe the Top milestones you have achieved and your target milestones with timelines, also share your roadmap?

Masato Kakamu:
The top priority is serious enhancement and promotion of eSportStars. We need to build App on eSportStars as well. Also, add more functionalities on TimeTicket is important as well.

Q12 from Telegram user @  Ubuntu Coder

How will you plan to run this business in the long run? It will require balancing the monetization, adaption of technology in both games and blockchains?

Masato Kakamu:
Yes, TimeTicket is going to be black in this year and we try to make eSportStars to be black in 2022.

Q13 from Telegram user @  Market Adam

As I see you never sold your tokens to investors. Why did you choose this way? Who is your token holders?

Masato Kakamu:
Since we have raised more than $4 Million USD in equity side, we did not need to sell token. Token holder distribution information is in whitepaper. Tokens are held by our company, executive, team, and partners.

Q14 from Telegram user @  Johnny ℹ️🅿️

🙋‍♂️ Hello Masato

From your initial whitepaper and plan, TimeCoin Protocol was scheduled to take off on the EOS blockchain network. But you later moved from EOS to the Ethereum network. Why did you abandon the EOS network despite its ability to process 50,000 TPS which can be helpful to the DApp services you providing and it’s near zero fees for Ethereum which has scalability issue and high transaction fees? Did you consider other blockchain network and will you inter-operate your protocol on other blockchain network in future?

Masato Kakamu:
We decided not to use EOS because market adaption was lower than we expected. We can use off-chain transactions to hedge ETH gas and transaction speed problem.

Q15 from Telegram user @  CryptoFollower

What privileges do you give to token holders something like private tickets or high paid tournaments?

Masato Kakamu:
Yes, we can give privileges on token holders such as participating high paid esport tournaments and special service/discounts and so on.

Part 3 – Quiz Results

As usual, for the third part, Satoshi Club Team asked the chat 4 questions about the crypto project. A link to a Quiz form was sent into the chat.
